Penn State Goes D1

Penn State has formally announced they are going Division 1 in both men’s and women’s hockey.

PSU fans can thank Terry and Kim Pegula who donated $88 million — the largest private gift in Penn State history — to finance fund the kickoff of the men’s team and a new multipurpose arena with two ice sheets.

Not disclosed is when the team would go D1 and which conference they would join.
