Doesn’t the replay at 1:06 of the first video clearly show that Richards caught the leg as well as the shoulder? I think your grasping at straws on that one.
The Flyers did get hosed on the high stick goal but what was Biron doing letting that puck pop up in the first place?
Rule 71 Kneeing
Kneeing is the act of a player leading with his knee and in some cases extending his leg outwards to make contact with his opponent.
Richards certainly didn’t lead with his knee nor extend his leg outwards.
The Flyers only scored one real goal, and the Canadiens scored two.
Why did Biron pop that puck up? The kneeing call was terrible after they let everything go for that entire period.
Remember that Canadian advertising dollars are just as valuable as US dollars, so the NHL can now rig games like the NFL and WWE, and get the needed ratings out of Canada. You guys drinking Labatts and Molson are drinking the Flyers right out of the playoffs.
After having a 18 or so hours to settle down about last night I’ve come to grips with the kneeing call although I still think it wasn’t a kneeing penalty. At full speed, it looked like a penalty.
The high stick still pisses me off though.
After careful analysis, I’ve determined that the Flyers lost 3-4. I’ve also observed a lot of sticks in the air at various points in the game. Almost every player on the ice had two knees. One player, Tony was made fun of, the crowded shouting, “Toe Knee”. Tony was not happy.
Point!
that high stick goal was one of the easiest goals to overturn that i have ever seen. The video was as clear as day -high stick. And bad kneeing call whcih looked like a trip at full speed and on TV but from that one angle (the refs angle) it clearly showed that it was an awkward shoulder check.
The flyers were lucky w/ bounces etc, but they also played a really good third period with the lead until the bogus call. Why is it that bad calls almost always lead to goals?

The “war room” should be in a neutral site, like Mexico perhaps. F Canada, no offense A-Train.

:37 of the first replay looks like all shoulder to me.
There’s no doubt that the hit was at least 80% shoulder but if Richards caught a piece of the leg, I think you have to call it.

Do the Rams need any new players this year?
And the buzzer sounds ending the 4th period. Today is gonna suck.
Great 4th Thor… Still a bit of buzzing going on.
