Central Scouting Bureau

The NHL’s Central Scouting Bureau has released their scouting midterm Rankings.
Could the Flyers be selecting an Espo (No relation to Tony or Phil)?
Or maybe they’ll get Alexei Cherepanov, he just sounds fast!

And you have to love YouTube, someone’s been posting all of Alexei’s goals to YouTube.

Not Esposito. Too much like Daigle. I say Cherapanov to get some Russian creativity to add to the Canadian grit in the system. 19 points in the RSL is like 100 in the OHL. More than Ovechkin and Malkin had at the same age in the same league. Pretty impressive.

    i agree hoagie, Russian dressing!

If the Flyers get him, they will trade his rights away next year for Brad Marsh and Doug Crossman. Need to solidify the blue line.

Hoagie … where is this Cherepanov on the CSB report?

he is on the european skaters list (#1 on that one I think). the csb kinda sucks as far as its list goes (created by the nhl instead of a true independent scouting service). Try ISS it seems to be a little bit more respected in the scouting community. The year the flyers drafted Downie, he was listed as around #60 on the north american list (forecasting a late second our third round selection) every year they seem o be way off on 1/2 of their selections. Also, it doesn’t seem to make too much sense to me to seperate north american from european. just make a list and fill in the anticipated draft slot for each player.

And I thought guys who waited outside for days to see Starwars and Madden football freaks waisted their time……
