Game 7 preview: Anaheim at Calgary

The first round’s lone Game 7 takes place tonight when the Calgary Flames welcome the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim to the Saddledome to decide their Western Conference quarterfinal set, a game seen on OLN at 9 p.m. ET.

Bryzgalov stays loose

Goalie could start tonight.
Miikka Kiprusoff’s ability to remain cool under pressure is well documented.
But Anaheim goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov takes it a step further.
Teammate Teemu Selanne has never seen anything like it.
Thrown into the series as the Game 6 starter after J-S Giguere faltered, Bryzgalov stopped Selanne before the opening faceoff and told him to smile and have some fun.

Flames coach criticizes officials’ work in series

Calgary Flames coach and general manager Darryl Sutter went on the offensive Tuesday, the eve of tonight’s seventh game in his club’s opening-round playoff series against the Mighty Ducks.
Seeking a shift in a trend that has resulted in the Ducks receiving more power-play opportunities than the Flames in each of the past four games, Sutter made clear his frustration with the officiating.
