Ducks Go Up Two

Ducks on a mighty shutout streak

Ilya Bryzgalov passed his goaltending partner for the fourth-longest shutout streak in NHL playoff history on Sunday, as the Anaheim Mighty Ducks blanked Colorado, 3-0.
Bryzgalov made 22 saves to record his third consecutive shutout, as the Ducks have now jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal.

Sharks again work magic with a second-period goal

Sunday night, like they have all season and into the playoffs, the Sharks owned the second period. They outscored Edmonton 1-0 on a goal by defenseman Christian Ehrhoff that proved to be the decisive one in San Jose’s 2-1 playoff victory.
