Lindros shrugged yesterday when asked when he might be back in the lineup, now two weeks after suffering torn right wrist ligaments.
“I couldn’t tell you,” Lindros said, prior to the Leafs edging the Bruins 2-1 last night. “We’ll re-evaluate it after the (Christmas) break. It feels like it’s progressing, but as far as pin-pointing a time to come back, I don’t know.
“We (himself, trainers and doctors) are doing absolutely everything we can. Acupuncture, ultrasound … we’re on it. It’s supposed to work.”
At the intermission, the scoreboard read 3-0 for the Flyers, who also owned a 19-12 edge in the shots-on-goal department, and the star of the period may very well have been (Uggh!) Donald Brashear.
Talk about humiliating.
