USA Hockey announces 2006 WJHC Team

Forward Phil Kessel, considered the top NHL prospect for the 2006 NHL entry draft, headlined the 22-player roster for the United States world junior hockey team released Monday.
The Americans, heavy favourites heading into the Dec. 26-Jan. 5 tournament in Vancouver, Kamloops and Kelowna, have 18 NHL draft picks on their roster, including forward Bobby Ryan of the Ontario Hockey League’s Owen Sound Attack (second overall in 2005, Anaheim), defenceman Jack Johnson from the University of Michigan (third overall in 2005, Carolina), forward Jack Skille from the University of Wisconsin (seventh overall in 2005, Chicago) and forward Blake Wheeler of the University of Minnesota (fifth overall in 2004, Phoenix).
