Oilers swing trade for Pronger

Pronger, 30, was acquired late Tuesday from the St. Louis Blues for defencemen Eric Brewer, Doug Lynch and Jeff Woywitka.

Roenick, Hatcher go way back as fierce rivals

“He broke my jaw and blew my knee out,” Roenick said. “He’s caused me more pain and suffering in the game than anyone ever has.”

Gonshar to the Pens for 5 yrs 25mil
Iginla resigned with the Flames for 3 yrs 21 mil

I like the Pronger trade for St. Louis. They were going to stink this year anyway (maybe even not make the playoffs for the first time in team history) and this trade gives them three young and very good d-men for the future. All I am saying is look out for St. Louis in 2009. As for 2005, I like Edmonton to give someone a hard faught victory in the first round….again.

  3. Kevin says:

Vancouver just dealt Sopel to the Isles so maybe they are making room for Niedermayer.

Hope Khavibulin goes to Chicago, that’s gotta be a big blow to Tampa. Send all of these F’ers to the West.

Forsberg? Sounds pretty big. It’s all over the place. Someone just called in to 610 and asked about it. Would have to free up around 5 mil of cap space I think.

Just heard a confrimation by Eskin. Forsberg has been signed. Roenick or Gagne involved to free up cap space. Wow!
