ESPN Opts Out of NHL

Yesterday ESPN announced that they would opt out of their agreement with the NHL. The NHL would have received $60 Million from the deal. The cancellation of the agreement leaves the NHL with only NBC as a TV partner in the US. The NHL and NBC signed an agreement that would split revenue between the two entitities, the XFL signed a similar deal.
